Urban Liberal Arts Foundation Inc. is dedicated to bringing the Arts and Entertainment Industry to inner city youth and providing a safe and professional campus locally that will not only bring educational careers to the area, but economic benefits as well. As a Non-Profit Trade School, we will be focused on Affordable Education for those who are not able to take on the debt associated with For-Profit Schools, as well as providing Scholarships for those who apply and live within the HUB zone of St. Petersburg,

Florida.

Offering professional training in Film and TV Acting, Writing, Directing, Producing, Editing, as well as Grip and Electric training, Set Construction, Special Effects, both Make-up and Physical Effects, Set Design, Wardrobe Department, Prop Master, every facet of the Film Business will be taught, including the Financing side and Budgeting, all the way down to Digital Design for Marketing and Promotion.

With Lifelong Career Professionals involved with ULAF from inception to manifestation, the Board Members and Instructors/Teachers will all have decades of actual Film Production experience and bring this knowledge to those who are interested in a career in Film and Television.

Urban Liberal Arts Foundation is needed as a vehicle for the economically downtrodden to have the same opportunities as those who have access to larger University Programs, and as a Non-Profit the funds brought in from Students and Donations, as well as what is generated by renting the facilities to Actual Film and TV Productions and placing Students on Off Campus Productions with paid Production Assistant positions in the area of interest, the school itself should be easily self-sustaining. The Campus needed could be anything from a warehouse space with corporate offices attached to an old high school now shuttered or even a closed shopping mall. As the academy grows, we will eventually offer all manner of Trades, from Machine shops to Cyber Security, our intention is to create an inspired Learning environment that teaches Trades to Underprivileged and Financially Challenged Youth who want to challenge themselves and perhaps become a leader in their own field of interest, starting first with Professional Film and Television Training.
